summer maxi dress

I love maxi dresses.
They are easy to wear and don't require leg shaving!
Today I pulled out a maxi dress I bought 2 seasons ago from Giant Tiger (for those not familiar it's like
Wal-Mart's low end cousin).  I grabbed my sunnies (generic no name brand) and my sun hat from Joe Fresh.

Easy summer style!

Head over to Visible Monday and get some outfit inspiration for the week.

  1. It would involve under arm shaving though, no?

  2. Whoa, you removed your underarm hair? I didn't know that could be done! I didn't know Giant Tiger sold clothes. What else don't I know? I do know that you look really good in that cute dress with your sunhat.

    1. Laser hair removal is the way to go! I had 3 or 4 treatments and now just have 2 or 3 lights hairs that grow in every couple of months. Very low maintance :)
And yes, the Giant Tiger here has clothes. You usually have to pick through, but I can always find something...I don't know if that's good or bad :)

  8. You look very beautiful! I love your dress. I also just read the comment about the laser hair removal and it sounds perfect. Do you think I can convince my insurance company that permanent hair removal is necessary for my health?

    1. Thanks FringeGirl. We do have some people that try to do that, but I was luckily able to be the guinna pig for a girl who was being trained as a laser tech so it wasn't expensive...just a bit of a gamble, lol.

  9. Great dress. I love maxis because they are so cool. I have bad veins around my lower legs and knees and with a maxi I can stay cool without showing off my purple veins.

    1. Laser is great. The time and hassle you save, as well as what you'd spend on shaving or waxing products really does make the cost worth while.

  12. Hi Laura, thanks for stopping by my blog.
I absolutely adore maxi's. I just started wearing them this year believe or not!

    1. They are new to me too! I always thought that because I'm short (5'2") I couldn't wear a maxi dress, but I think it's all about fabric and pattern. I actually feel taller in this dress
