Nude in H & M

About a month ago I went to Toronto and shared this post about what I didn't buy.
Today I'm revealing what I did buy.  Prepare to be underwhelmed, but they made me happy.
I was trying to stick to my budget so I picked up a few things I needed for make-up/skincare:
the new pore refining treatment

my favourite primer

Hot Tahiti lipstick.
It's the perfect coral for me.
Then I made my obligatory H & M visit and found the perfect dress to go with my nude shoes!

I think it's kind of FF, don't you think?

Aren't they a perfect match?

I found these shoes at Suzy Shier last summer.

Then I found this coral sweater.  FF may be on an orange kick, but I'm digging coral.
I know it doesn't look that great on the hanger, but it actually hangs on the body quite nicely.

Then I went to Winners and found an excellent deal on a Heys featherweight hard shell carry-on.
I got the teal swirl from the exotic series and I love it!

Also at Winners I discovered a new brand I like: Numph
it's a fun Danish line whose tag is 'make an entrance'.
This is the Numph dress I bought:

So far I've worn it to work a few times and a funeral, poor dress, it's not in for an exciting life.

  2. I LOVE the dresses, especially the first one. I can't believe you made it match the shoes so perfectly! Awesome. So what's the primer? I'll assume you spread it across your face before you paint. Yes?

I think maybe you should do some makeup lessons...maybe a vlog or something. I'd sign up for an online class.

  3. FringeGirl, I keep thinking that I should do a make-up post, but then I get all self conscience about looking retarded on a vlog, because trust me, I will look retarded. But you may have inspired me. I'll get working on it. And yes, you paint your face like you pant your walls. Clean it (cleanser & toner) Moisturize (ok, you don't do that to your walls), Prime it, then Paint it (foundation). The primer smoothes your skin, brightens, absorbs oils so your foundation lasts longer and creates a barrier keeping your moisturizer in skin and make-up on top.

MMMC. Thanks for the welcome, glad to be back.

  5. Sometimes I think I should wear some makeup. I had a dream last night I was applying black liquid eyeliner (like I used to years ago) ... but that was before the wrinkle monster tackled me ... I don't want to look like mutton parading as a lambie.

  6. Hey, don't be self-conscious. We the people who don't really do make-up well need you! Vlog away. I promise we won't laugh. Maybe I'll have to give primer a shot. My eye make-up really never stays on all day. I don't where it goes, but when I look in the mirror, it's gone.
