You need to know... to make the perfect s'more.

Had an interesting conversation with a friend the other day.  It started with vegemite and ended with s'mores.  Go figure.
Nutella also played a key role.

Get ready, this is my s'more recipe.  It was passed on to me by my friend P, and now I'm passing it on to you.  Really, there's not a better s'more out there, if you ask me.

You need:

graham crackers

large marshmellows

roaring campfire/living room fireplace/ microwave or, if you really want to cheat: a jar of Fluff.

Spread Nutella on 1 graham cracker.
Heat/roast marshmellow in your preferred method.
It should be slightly golden, warm but still holding it's shape.

Place a marshmellow on top of your Nutella smeared graham cracker and then top with another cracker.

Such good campfire food!
If you ask me, why waste time fussing with chocolate chips or buying chocolate bars.  Nutella is way easier and I think it tastes better.
Warning: these are addictive.

  3. Oh my goodness. The only ingredients I know are nutella and marshmallows. Are they sweet crackers?

    Can you cook marshmallows in the microwave? We're not allowed to start fires in the back yard ... I could probably get one of the kids to do so ... but that end-up in someone doing time in the slammer.

  4. the graham crakers are a little sweet, and not super crunchy. You could use a soft chocolate chip cookie (I can't believe I hadn't thought of that before!) They are what we crumble up to make the bottoms of cheesecake.
    You can put a marshmellow in the microwave, but watch it closely!!! They expand like twice their size and then implode and make kind of a mess, so just like 10 seconds.
